Financial institutions often receive electronic information for payroll and government payment deposits before actually receiving the funds. That means we can make your funds available up to two days earlier.

Early Bird Deposit is available automatically with any First Financial checking account for any payroll or government payment that’s directly deposited – yet another great reason to enroll in direct deposit.3

You don’t need to sign up…it’s automatic! As long as you have your payroll or government payments directly deposited into your First Financial checking account, you’ll get access to those funds up to two days early.
Your employer or the government agency that issues your payroll checks is responsible for establishing direct deposit on your behalf. You will typically fill out a basic form requesting the following information, and they’ll do the rest. Items you may need include:

  • Your Complete Checking / Better Rewards Checking account number
  • A voided check to verify the routing & checking numbers
We add your direct deposit amount to your Available Balance on the same day we receive your deposit. The Available Balance is the most current record we have about the funds that are available for withdrawal from your account. This balance may not reflect all of your transactions, such as checks you have written or debit card transactions that have been approved but not yet submitted for payment by the merchant. If you sign up for e-Alerts, you can choose to be notified when a direct deposit is available in your account. You can also check your available balances easily via Online Banking. If you were expecting a direct deposit and have not received it, or there was an error in the direct deposit amount, please contact the company or individual who is sending you the money.
